Paul’s dad pulled through the surgery. Then, yesterday morning at 8:00AM we get a phone call. Since it was our anniversary, we thought “hey, who’s calling so early???” Glancing at CallerID which displayed my favorite… “Out of Area”, I told Paul to pick it up - it could be his mother. It was. His dad was bleeding internally and the doctors had to go back in and operate. Turns out he had a clot and a leak. Both were repaired and he is stable.

Stars lost. So be it. The Devils were the better team this year. Both teams gave quite a fight in the last two games. Can’t believe the Stars didn’t win one game at home.

Spent the anniversary at home. This was good enough for me considering Paul had to go to Houston to see his Dad, help my sister with her move, and has a class / seminar every night this week and on Saturday. We watched Dogma. I am a fan of Kevin Smith’s work especially Clerks and this was my least favorite mainly because of the violence (it was a little gross for my taste). The crude humor got to be a bit much for me. I enjoyed the religious humor. I can see why people were in an uproar about the movie, but come on! The writers put a disclaimer at the very beginning of the movie that this was a poke fun at movie. Give me a break! I can be as PC as the next person, but I can also laugh at myself and all my differences!

I also watched Happiness. The voters on IMDB gave it 7 or 8 average. I gave it a 4. I love hearing stories about those little things no one talks about, but this was just too much and it really went no where. I think a movie could succeed with a similar formula, but changed up. What do I know? I am not a Hollywood writer.
