I know I have not posted in a couple of weeks now. I guess I got a little discouraged when my mean brother said this page was too personal and not professional enough (he knows I want to do web design work). I told him I had not had a chance to create my portfolio and it would be separate from this stuff. For now, this is my way of continuously updating the web site to keep my friends and family (brother excluded) coming back often. If you think my brother is wrong, send him an email slamming his butt. If you agree with him, send me an email with your delightful suggestions on what to do with this web site.
L’s latest thing… “bye bye,” “bye bye,” “bye bye…” He is also hooked on the Baby Einstein videos. When I need to talk to someone on the Internet, I plug one in so he will stop hitting my printer button, clicking my mouse, typing on my keyboard, turning off my computer, or climbing on my coffee table next to my computer. If you ever meet L, watch out… do anything he doesn’t like, he gets stubborn and starts hitting. We’re trying to wean him of this awful behavior. Any suggestions… please send them our way. I’ve looked at the experts columns all over the web and nothing works.
Paul, S, and I went to Lone Star Race Track yesterday with a group. I was not too excited about it, but I thought it would make a fun experience and I can say I have done it. Well, I’ve bet on the horses! It was fun… all 20 minutes of it. We were there for two hours… and the waiting between races was boring. We picked our horses for the first four races and watched them while munching on lunch. The environment really isn’t conducive for socializing. Cool thing is that the horses I picked in the first three races won! Then in the fourth race, my horse came in 2nd. We almost made back the money we bet, but most of the horses we picked were not long shots. My first horse paid the most at $12.80 for each $2 bet. Thank you, Free Will!
Tomorrow, S and I are going to Six Flags. I know… I know… 100+ degree weather. Hey, my girl earned a free ticket by reading 600 minutes of books last fall. We only had about a 6 week window in which we could take her to Six Flags before it expired. Unfortunately, we were booked in June and are stuck with July since the ticket expires on August 6. It ain’t gonna get cooler before then. Yes, we packed our suntan lotion and our portable water mister to keep cool.
