<Sigh> Ever since I was sick a little over a week ago, I just can’t get going. The things I love to do as well as those I am good about doing… just can’t do ‘em or at least not give a 100%. Despite this, I was able to get through S’s 7th birthday party held at our house yesterday. The girls painted flower pots and then made three flowers to go in them. I can just hear some of you saying “What the hell are you doing… arts, Meryl?” So, I am not artsy tartsy, but I can follow directions.

It went over well especially since we only had two places of paint on our floor (yes, I used a drop cloth) and paint ended up on the girls’ clothes. After all that crafting, the girls got some ice cream cake. I’ll put a picture on after it’s developed. Someone forgot to take it out to thaw. Those girls were VERY patient waiting for their slices. I was so wrapped up in the crafts, so I could not think that far ahead.

After cake, HAPPY FACE pinata time! I didn’t catch much of this since I was busy putting the flowers into the pot before the parents came since there was only 10 minutes left when the pinata beating began.

So, I can’t get myself to do anything today except work on the thank you notes (S will sign them). Then, this afternoon, L was crying as if he was in pain and grabbing his ears. I didn’t think anything of it at first because he just finished antibiotics yesterday for a skin infection. But, he kept doing it. Took him to the doctor and sure enough… infected. We are one drugged up family.
