Survivor II has not gripped me yet. But I think it’s because the beginning is slow… too many people. Plus, I can never remember who is in what tribe. CBS has pissed me off, too. I wrote them a letter:
Each time Survivor II has aired, the program is reduced to three-quarters of its normal size to give viewers announcements to check out the Web site and the like. This has left hearing-impaired residents like me unable to see what is being said because the closed-captions would disappear and I didn’t know what the survivors were saying.
When I lived in Washington, DC, the local TV stations respected its hearing impaired audience by moving the closed-captions to the top of the TV screen while the news scrolled on the bottom. Can’t CBS learn from this example?

Survivor II vs. Friends - Oh give me a break! They both win in my household. Can you say Vee Cee Are? I tape them both.
Hey, last week on Wheel of Fortune, a fellow American University student won over $60,000. Way go to David! WOF is coming to Dallas this weekend. Gee, should I stand in line for hours and try out? After getting up 1 1/2 hours late today (not MY fault. I can’t hear the alarm, you know?) and getting stuck in traffic for the first time in ages, I don’t know if I could handle line waiting.
