Today I was surprised with a cool Jenny Holzer glass from Found Objects. This is a really neat little store that has great contemporary stuff… of course, I never get around to buying anything since most of the stuff is low on my list. Hey, when you have two kids to feed… a lot of things get prioritized on the bottom of your shopping list.

Got the flu last Tuesday night. Just what I needed when I am trying to get back into the thick of things after vacation. Murphy’s Law in action, I suppose. YES, I had a flu shot. Maybe it kept the whole thing from being worst than it coulda been.

Wow. Flash from the past. One of my first mailing list was a cool newsletter from the people of Yoyodyne. They were bought out by Yahoo back in ’98. Anyhoo, the newsletter editor, Wendy, wrote such fun stories. The newsletter and Web site was one of the first to use a lighthearted writing style on the Web. I was always wishing I could do that. Now, a few years later… I find myself doing some of that. Not as good as Wendy, but it’s progress. I found her diary on the Web because of the Yoyodyne entry. I wrote her a note and we’ll see if she writes back. Truth be told, I think she still writes funny despite her comments.
