Ah, thanks to my buddies at geek.com for pointing out this article from my hometown where I grew up, The Fort Worth Star Telegram. Instead of limiting yourself to Bible reading at bedtime, whip out your hand-held device anytime and catch up on religious reading, prayers, resources and more. Jewish people can use it to track what time the Sabbath begins and figure out what day it is on the Jewish calendar. Also available are Hindu stories and a translation of the Koran. There’s something for every religion and you can search for your needs at sites like PalmGear, Handango, EuroCool, ZDNet, and Tucows.
I wonder, though. The Rabbi in Arlington said he used it while attending Orthodox services. It’s my understanding that Orthodox Jews do not operate any machinery of any kind during holidays or the Sabbath. Perhaps, it was not either. But, I don’t expect to see them using it for holidays and the Sabbath unless it’s an accessibility issue.
Published a review on PrintMaster 11. It’s the first home publishing program I’ve looked at in years. The last one was PrintShop Deluxe — many versions ago. My, my… the software has come a long way, baby. Now, they come with sound, animation, tons more templates, and a six CDs of clip art (Platinum edition).
