Yes! Thanks to Digital Saint, we defeated Verio’s quirks and got the form working on the server. Last week, I spent a lot of time and (plotting to kill the server) trying to get the form working on this server. It worked perfectly fine at Hypermart, a free Web account.
Logic states that a paid account with CGI capabilities should work as well as a freebie account with pop-ads. Nope. Hypermart wins hands down and Verio tech support loses for giving me a flaky answer. I may have to seriously consider moving to a new server for the first time in 5 years.
The fix? I had to add commands to the open (mail) line to make it work.

I have used Hypermart for my soap business site since 1998. Originally free, then I paid the monthly fee of $10 a month, and now back to free again – and I have to say that they are a wonderful host. I had e-mail down for 24 hours once – and I got a 3-month credit. Other then that my site was never down, and if only I didn’t have so many domains I would have stayed there … but at the rate I was going it would have been $150 a month! (Annoying pop-ups made me move…)
