For those who struggle to get email under control, the Wall Street Journal has an article, Rising Flood of Office E-Mail Messages Threatens to Drown the Unorganized. As addicted to email as I am (I click on GET MAIL so often, I have clickfinger), I haven’t reached the breaking point. For me, email substitutes for phone calls, so I probably get my fair share of emails. Even as a writer who has to interview people, I do it all via email since it’s easier (for the interviewee, too) than using a third party operator to make the calls for me. I don’t want people to get to the breaking point where they won’t check or respond to emails since it’s an essential communication tool. Thanks to d-w for the link.
