When we get around to spring cleaning our harddrives (yeah, right), we come across file extensions that we don’t recognize. FILExt – The File Extension Source, Multimedia File Formats on the Internet, and FileSpecs provide a listing of extensions and what they’re for.

.bar, .but, and .hot.
