The Wrong Way to Use CSS in Page Layouts : evolt.org explains what happens when using a WYSIWYG to create CSS sites without tables. I’m amazed the results looked as good as they did because I opened clean CSS files in Dreamweaver and it was impossible to see how the page would look.
Hence, I do all CSS coding by hand. I’ve tried highly recommended CSS editors to speed things, but haven’t gotten the hang of them.
No doubt, Adobe and Macromedia will get around to improving their WYSIWYG software to adapt to the CSS trend. Just cross our fingers that they won’t spew out too much garbage.

I tend to do handcoding for some of my css… but I do it in top style because it colorcodes it and lets me use some shortcuts. Once I started doing this, I fell in love with the program. I suppose it depends on how much css you edit - for me, its almost a daily activity
:)
(they don’t call me the css goddess for nothing, dontchaknow?!)
But I sure am glad that I don’t use a wysiwyg editor in conjuction with that! Those examples on evolt aren’t too cool!!
