I’ve been extremely disorganized for the past month and didn’t get things done for sxsw. But one thing did come through!

Reading the Geek.com Review: RoadTools Digital DayPack, geeky-me was being pulled into the lure of the geeky backpack. I decided I didn’t want to spend that much for a backpack.

Of course, I changed my mind with less than two weeks before heading to Austin. I ordered it and then started thinking Murphy’s Law would have it arrive on Friday after I leave.

The backpack arrived today! The timing is ironic because I found out that a good friend of mine can’t make it to sxsw. On top of that, I managed to snag an awesome roommate.

Our biggest dilemma is how will we watch the premiere of Amazing Race 2 when it airs in the middle of the DFWBlogs party?

OK, so this sounds like no big deal, but Christine and I got to know each other by watching the show and chatting at the same time. It was a blast.

My biggest concern is communicating with everyone and following the panels. I do lipread, but I do it better when I wear my hearing glasses (sounds better than hearing aids). Lately, I’ve been having trouble with wearing them and it’s made it harder to understand people.

There you have it. The one thing that’s bugging me about sxsw. It wasn’t easy to admit this here and it’ll be tougher in person.
