Does anyone know the actual meaning of the word "forty" in biblical times? (as in forty days and forty nights..). I was also told that the Movie Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves didnt literally mean FORTY, but many many thieves. My question is did Forty actually mean many days and many nights, in the bible? Any help would be appreciated!!!!
Thanks.
