Everyone has a complaint against NetSol, but Leslie Harpold’s losing her Hoopla domain name really blew the lid off a lot of us NetSol despisers. Ain’t no one can keep her down as Leslie is back.
TaskZ maintains a Top 10 List Archives and its newest addition is the Top 10 Information Architecture and Interface Design Sites. List is pretty accurate, in my opinion. [Link LucDesk]

There have been a crop of parenting links popping up lately. After receiving an email from Rudy, I felt compelled to put a few together in one post. Too badm it’s not Mother’s Day or Father’s Day, then it’d be perfect. If I wait two more weeks for Mom’s Day… you know this stuff will be too danged old in Internet years.
Raising He11 (like I’m gonna cuss when talking about parenting) uses the slogan, "a new genre in parenting." Its question of the week: Favorite Children’s Books. Good golly, I could go on and on in answering this. My favorite class in college? Children’s Lit.
I’ve been buried deep in playing catch up and fighting a cold / allergies since returning from DC. OK, so it’s taking longer to recover from the trip than to actually take the trip. Whatever it is, I took a break by going to Joel’s music review site to read a review of Shirley‘s new CD: Journeys Within. You can preview it for yourself. Congratulations to Shirley for finally seeing her beautiful music come together into a lovely sounding (at least, from what Joel says!) CD. Can’t wait to get home and preview it after a rough few days.

Has Grammar Lost Its Technological Edge? (requires free registration) states, “When a professor of English recently compared the grammar-checking features in Word and WordPerfect, he found that Word 2000′s grammar checker was unable to identify any of the most common errors. WordPerfect did somewhat better, but still found fewer than half.”
Furthermore, “The grammar checker you get today in Word is not significantly better than the grammar checker you might have used almost 10 years ago.” [Link LucDesk]
The article uses 1970′s, 1980′s, and 1990′s. Sounds like someone relied too much on his grammar checker and forgot to remove the unneeded apostrophes. That’s gotcha #0075.
First Lines is a collection of, what else, first lines from books. You have the opportunity to figure out the book from which the first line comes. I must warn you that when you get into this little game, it can make you want to curl up with a good book. [Link Rebecca]
Yes, I had a Lite Brite and I think it’s a classic even though I don’t remember playing with it much. Heck, I don’t remember playing with any particular toy that much since we all hate our own toys and love everyone else’s.
No worries about making a mess in playing with the online version. Sure, it loses the soft glow of the lights, but it’s fun.
