Recently, VKB made news announcing its virtual keyboard that creates a keyboard on any surface using red laser. More challengers are coming out with different keyboard concepts, one of which interests me because it wirelessly connects to the Palm. I could never chat through my PDA because the modem and the keyboard share the same port, but if I had this wireless keyboard — I might be able to chat.
One thing that annoys me is that keyboards don’t work with all PDA brands and models. The Palm V can’t use the same keyboard as the Palm m50x. Instead of requiring us to purchase an entirely different keyboard with each hardware upgrade, why not have an adapter? DallasNews.com Round Up of PDA Keyboards.
<edit>P.S. I use the Palm Portable Keyboard by Think Outside and love it. Only complaints are that I can’t use it with the wireless modem and I can’t use it in my lap since it doesn’t stay straight very well.</edit>
