Webreference is chock full of news today. First, WASP II is relaunching tomorrow (a date that is near and dear to me). Andy interviews Jeffrey Zeldman in the issue. Also, watch out… WASP is Browsing Around for New Targets and it could be you. Eric Meyer writes a slam dunk rebuttal (June 10 entry) to the anonymous statement in the article, “But one HTML contractor, who asked not to be named, illustrated the uphill battle the WaSP faces in getting programmers to lay aside their old browser-specific tricks: “Do you know how much I get paid for knowing this stuff?”
Also, a heads up: Yahoo! has redesigned its Web site, but always retained its basic framework until now. Yahoo to give home page a makeover sounds like its most radical change to date is coming. Any initial reactions to the screen shot of its proposed redesign? What are its strengths? What are its weaknesses?

the original web directory function of yahoo! slowly vanishes into irrelevance….
but oddly enough, I think I like what they’re doing with it. the last year or two, all I’ve used the site for is maps and movie times, which are always hard to find in that mass of links at the top – this redesign makes those a little easier to find.
Hey, did you see this yet?
