Accessible Streaming Content

New Architect: Accessible Streaming Content presents different ways to help making your streaming content accessible thereby reaching as many people as possible. The article includes links to products and examples. There are benefits to having captions than for people who are hard of hearing. A biggie is that it can make videos searchable.

Movieflix has some captioned videos and it’s awesome that I can click on "captioned" from the genre list. Captioning isn’t exactly a genre, but I’ll take what I can get and it’s easy to find. Only two pages worth of captioned stuff. I registered and attempted to watch Jack Benny, but the site says I haven’t logged in. Interesting… up there in the left corner says, “Welcome, Meryl.” I tried to log in again and it worked. The site’s "problems logging in?" page does have the solution to this bug.

Not an example of captions, but one of my favorite places to go is to Turner Movie Classics site because you can search for only captioned movies. No having to look at movies I’ve longed to see and learn they’re not captioned.
