Inaccessible Web Sites

Southwest Airlines may claim it loves to fly, but they’re not letting a person who is blind use the Web site. The Web site is incompatible with the screen reader. Article at Law.com. [Link Zeldman]

Frustrated with finding quality Web sites that are accessible, I’ve decided to start collecting a list of sites that have passed the Bobby validator, conform to WAI guidelines, or follow Section 508. You can validate XHTML and CSS, which is a step toward making a site accessible. These sites will be posted at Accessible Web Sites in the meryl.net articles area. It’s now open to submissions that will be reviewed prior to posting.
