Tuesday, November 5th, 2002 at 9:30 AM |The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), the group that sets technical standards for the Internet, has given the go-ahead to a group that will work on XMPP (Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol), instant messaging standards to allow people to send messages across the Net no matter the platform.
