		<description>&lt;p&gt;I detest those hospital remote controls with a passion.  It&#039;s well worth the cost to get a cheap universal remote and get someone to program it for the TV brand in question, especially when staying for any significant amount of time...&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;And yeah, people don&#039;t seem to think about accessibility concerns with setups like that. It&#039;s a shame, really.  Two other related annoyances I&#039;ve with my own auditory issues: museums that don&#039;t have captions or transcripts for any of their video exhibits, and video games that are heavily dependent on audio cues with no alternative. http://www.deafgamers.com/ has at least brought the latter issue to light; too bad I still see games to this day with dialogue that I just cannot make out...&lt;/p&gt;
