I don't know...

As an e-mail recipient I shudder at the idea of double the e-mail volume I already receive, even if it's limited just to e-mails I don't open.

As an e-mail marketing consultant, I'm thinking about costs. Re-sending, even just to the 60% or 70% that don't open on the first send, will increase the total cost of the send. Is the lift in opens/clicks/response enough to cover or justify the increased cost?

Also...does this "double send" strategy increase fatigue on your list?

I disagree with Phil. As a matter of fact, our clients experience in Europe and SE Asia, proves that it is infact mutually benefical for sender as well as recipient to explore a "second send-out".

I would NEVER venture to send our weekly GrammarTip (www.proofreadnow.com/web-optin.htm) twice! It would be a complete nuisance to our readers. I am positive they would find it objectionable. I certainly do!
