&lt;p&gt;You forgot to mention the website running the contest usually get a % of the prize.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Also they dont ask any ID confirmation, or documents (if not they would loose 90% of their audience, teenagers).&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Anybody pay taxes either.&lt;/p&gt;
