Jumping out of a Plane

-Gulp- Did I mention the thought of jumping out of a plane frightens me? We raised over $5000 in prizes for the 8th blog birthday bash and I promised to jump out of a plane if that happened. Am working on scheduling it — trying for June 22. If anyone has any fear pills for sale, let me know.

Skydive Dallas (not really in Dallas, but no one has heard of Whitehurst, TX) takes about an hour to get there. So I need to plan at least a half a day. With baseball and other kids’ activities, it can be tricky.

But this post holds me to it. I will do it. At least, I’ll have at least one interesting story for my grandkids.

Today is my wedding anniversary. So Happy Anniversary, Paul!

    I don’t run unless chased and I don’t jump out of airplanes that aren’t getting ready to crash. I don’t have a lot of rules I live by, but those are two. Good luck. I’m rooting for you.

    I can’t wait to see the video of this. I used to want to jump out of a plane and float down to earth– back when I was twenty! A strange thing happened as I grew older– fear of heights and fear of falling! I’d have to get over that by parasailing instead–being tethered to a boat is somehow more comforting. :)

    But yes, you’ll have a rocking good story to share with the grandkids. And your kids will be impressed as well. Not every Mom jumps out of an airplane!

    Happy Belated Anniversary! This will be a great story for the grandkids and I’m sure we will enjoy the video (there will be video, right?) :-) I had a stronger desire to do this in my youth but now as a 40 something battling gravity every day, not sure I want to defy it in the air. I have had friends who did it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to jumping vicariously through you. :-)
