Kate, I am sorry to hear twitter didn’t work out. With twitter, I focus on building relationships and getting to know people. Don’t give up twitter just yet!

Great post, but so far the only client that I have gotten from Twitter has turned out to be un-reliable. You have to be careful with Twitter.

Meryl, most of the time I consider my clients a gift from, well, the Universe or something. Sure, I’ve got a web page promoting me and I play with social media and I answer ads, and when the phone rings the potential client says vaguely, “I found you on the internet.” I’ve yet been able to pin them down much more than that, which is okay with me.

I think that as things get tougher, us freelance types need to be prepared to look under a few more rocks.

This list is all important in terms of what it is we should be doing on a regular basis. If you are not doing these things, you are missing out.

Mom, I finished my vegetables, can I go outside and play now?
