I've learned to stop reading a book if it just doesn't ring with me instead of reading it all the way through. Of course, I might LOVE something and you don't. Vice versa. I think you'll be able to decide early on if this is your kind of story. I try to describe what you get from the book so you can judge based on your own tastes. George, I know what you mean.
