Wanted: Missing Gingerbread Pal

Wanted: Missing Gingerbread Pal (click for story)

Ah… kids get out early today as we begin winter break. We don’t have anything planned except a couple of trips to Grandma’s in Fort Worth for the younger set. Maybe play some board games. 5th grader has to work on his science project. I imagine there will be movies and board games happening during the break. What about you?

    Meryl,

I sure hope that you and your kids enjoy those games and trips to see their grandma.

Christmas holidays were absolutely the best time of year when I was a kid (they still are) – not least because it is summer during at that time in the southern hemisphere, or because this was when we had the longest school break of the year.

We always used to go for beach holidays. Melbourne (the south-eastern city in Australia where I live) has some wonderful beaches on the Mornington Peninsula to the south-east and also a famous stretch of coast in the south-west. It’s wonderful at this time of year down here.

Andrew, that reminds me! I need to take out a jigsaw puzzle. My family spent many a winter break doing lots of puzzles. Once, we stayed up until a late hour just to finish a 5000 piece puzzle only to find one missing. Good times. Good times.

Ah… I’d love to go to Australia.
