Paul upgraded WinAmp once and went back to its older version because it was better. Sometimes the sequel is not better and we revert to the older version, but it is not always possible. OldVersion.com is a site for searching for … yeah, I think you know.
Create bibliography (you know the list of books and magazines at the end of the paper you worked hard on to get a good grade) without having to look up every type of situation with the MLA Auto Generator. MLA is the name of the handbook for writers of research papers. I have a copy on my essential writing reference bookshelf. When I tried it the first time, I blurted, “This is awesome! It’s a keeper!”
Just select the source, which can be book, magazine, Web site, or a whole boatload of others. Options lists the number of authors (one, two, three or more, or none). Enter the information for the source (in the case for a book, it’s title, author, year, publisher, and location) and click Generate! K’ching! You’ve got bibliography. A time saver and no more confusion about how to do a magazine vs. a book.
Gnooks is a seld-adapting engine that helps you find new writers based on writers you like. Also, enter a favorite writer and it creates a map of related writers. It does the same for movies and music. There’s a section called Web, but it works differently from the others. Very cool! Book lovers, go straight there!
Another resource is WhichBook.net to find something to read. Go through the checklist to look for the kind of book you want to read next. The selector also allows you to find a book based on your preferences in character, plot, and setting.
Paul is staying in management shape with Intel IT Manager Game. It comes with everything expected of an IT manager – underappreciation, low paid salary, tight budgets, and bored employees. Oh, Maalox or Pepto Bismol is not included. You’ll have to bring that with you.
Thanks, Molly, for giving me another 404 to add to my collection. This has bad language, so you’ve been warned.
